THE SHOW

A SUMMER THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.

A SUMMER THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Recently out and still learning how to inhabit his new life, Tyler joins his friends for a Memorial Day escape to Provincetown, a place of queer acceptance, crowded bars, blue waters, chosen family and unapologetic celebration.

What begins as a long weekend changes when Tyler meets Andrej, a Serbian student working in town for the summer. Their connection grows from vacation romance into something neither man expected. But Andrej’s uncertain future in America, and the truths he has kept from Tyler, force them to confront the difference between finding freedom and using love as a way out.

Around them, a multigenerational Provincetown community navigates its own arrivals and departures. Old friends face an approaching goodbye, young workers imagine new lives, and a beloved restaurant prepares for its next chapter.

Moving from Memorial Day to Carnival, The Great Escape is a funny, heartfelt celebration of first love, queer history, chosen family and the places that give us permission to become ourselves.

THE STORY

A PLACE TO BECOME

A PLACE TO BECOME

Everyone arrives carrying something.

Tyler arrives newly out. Andrej arrives on a three-month work visa. Their friends arrive desperate for rest, reinvention, sex, romance, or simply a long weekend away.

Provincetown offers all of them permission to imagine another life. But as summer deepens, escape gives way to choice: what to reveal, what to forgive, what to preserve, and who to become when the ferry heads home.
